Now

This is what I'm up to at the moment (updated October 16, 2025).

My mother passed away last week.  That's been a lot, but fortunately I have been able to spend a lot of time with her while managing her care, her stuff, and trying to keep the rest of my life afloat (both family and work).  

I've been running quite a bit this year, and finished my first half marathon trail run.  And then another.  So that's two finishes, and given everything else that's been happening recently I'm pretty darn happy with that.  

I took a few weeks off from music, but overall I have been playing regularly with some friends in a no-name Americana-ish band.  We're working on a demo recording.

Currently reading: "Uncommon Carriers" by John McPhee.
