Workflow for Open Source Drone Mapping and Object Counting

This document describes my current workflow for open source drone mapping and object counting using WebODM (OpenDroneMap), QGIS with Deepness plugin, DotDotGoose, and YOLOv7. This document is a work in progress and is largely incomplete as of November 2023, but is published here in case someone finds it useful.

System Requirements

This workflow targets a medium-grade PC with the following specifications:

  • 32 GB RAM
  • 500 GB Hard Drive
  • Windows 10 with Docker Desktop
